If you are thrown from a motorcycle, would you rather land on blacktop or an airbag vest? Personally, i would rather land on air vs. the pavement. It's not rocket science, just good old fashion logic. You have a motorcycle helmet to protect your head, so why not protect your neck, back and even your torso. They will inflate in 2 tenths of a second and if the airbag is not damaged after a crash, it can be reset by using a CO2 cartridge.

Safety when riding motorcycles, should be your first concern. Sure, everyone likes to have a good time ,but all that could come to an abrupt end, if their is a serious crash. Their are those that like to bash a product that could really be beneficial for riders. Chances are, they have never been on a motorcycle at all, or they just listen to others and decide it will do more harm than good. Look folks, to put it in simple terms, it is supposed to act like a shock buffering system if and when you hit the ground. I had rather have something to absorb my impact than nothing at all. Wouldn't you? Think about it.

The price tag on these airbag vest are not to cheap. Can you put a price tag on your life, or your family's life? They even make these to fit children. If you have never thought about buying one of these, think again! Chances are, you just might walk away after an accident. I had much rather have an extra layer of armor, than my thin skin for protection. Like i said before, "they are reusable."

Perhaps, you like riding at night. You can buy a vest that has fluorescent colors, so you will be very visible at night or even daytime. These vests are relatively new, and are sought after by the military for special functions.
The choice is yours. Choose to wear one and make a difference.

Over the years we have seen many changes in the automobile industry in the form of airbag protection. Many cars have expanded the protection so much, that you and your loved ones are practically completely surrounded in airbags.

For a long period of time, motorcyclists could only dream of such protection for them when they were out on the roads. However, there have been innovations that have come about, the latest an airbag jacket. This item is amazing.

There are many benefits that come with owning an airbag jacket. To begin with the wearable air jacket not only provides the cushion between you and a hard surface, but it also provides you with protection from the elements depending on the weather.

The airbag jacket design comes in a number of varieties suited for different weather conditions. A few examples to begin with the Autobahn 2, this jacket is great for the wet weather, it has a removable lining should the weather be warm, you can still get protection from the rain, with out having to worry about being to warm.

Are you afraid of not being seen at night, no problem, there are even airbag jackets available in bright yellow colors, these are particularly helpful to other drivers on the roads around you. Let us face it, there are quite a few people on the road that don't pay much attention to smaller vehicles on the road, especially motorcyclists.

Yes, it is true that the airbag jacket does have a higher price tag then say some of the nice leather jackets that also add protection, but, with an airbag jacket you are given an additional lining of protection. Inside many of the jackets you will find air pockets that are located through out the back of the jackets as well as side panels parts of the arms and the chest region. The designers of these particular jackets want you to be protected should a fall occur. The jackets are designed to absorb more of the impact that your body, yes, it is true that you will end up with some bruises if an accident should happen, but better a bruise than having broken bones.

If you are new to riding, be sure to start off right and keep yourself protected on the roadways. Be sure to do your research and see what riding gear is best for you. It will be well worth it and you will feel more comfortable on your first ride.

For years the only safety devices afforded to motorcycle enthusiasts were motorcycle helmets and leather biker outfits. Thanks to modern technology and some good common sense, today bikers everywhere have the option of a much safer way to ride there motorcycles. The airbag jacket is the latest in safety equipment, and it works great with the usual motorcycle gear. Working in the same way that the conventional airbags work in a car crash, the airbag jacket inflates when the biker has an accident and is thrown from the motorcycle.

Comfortable and stylish, the new jacket not only protect the wearer but also looks good while you are wearing it. You may be wondering just how this safety device works to protect you in an accident. You simply put on the jacket and attach the "rip cord" to your motorcycle. In the case of an accident and you are thrown from your motorcycle, the attached cord activates the airbag jacket, and the jacket inflates quickly before you ever touch the pavement.

The interior of the jacket is designed to protect your arms, lower back and your upper back, and it also designed to protect and cushion the back of your neck and the back and sides of your head. It does this through a unique design of air chambers that resemble roll bars when inflated. This protection is in combination with your motorcycle helmet and leather clothing. Together this gives your body a much safer and softer landing resulting in fewer injuries and less trauma.

Many police agencies have adopted the use of this new jacket for their own motorcycle police officers protection. This new life saving device can be purchased for just under five hundred dollars retail to the rest of the general public. The greatest thing about this life saving device is that as soon as the rider is thrown from the motorcycle, the attached cord is pull from the jacket and the jacket inflates cushioning the blow and saving your life.

More and more people are purchasing motorcycles; therefore you are starting to see more items aimed at motorcycle safety. A couple of years ago the airbag vest for motorcycle hit the scene for additional safety while on a bike.
Any item that will improve your safety while riding on your motorcycle is a welcomed addition to your to the wonderful world of motorcycle riding. The motorcycle air vest was created in nineteen eighty nine, although created in the eighties, we are just now starting to see a spike in growth for the air vest. It is a very good concept for those who want to take extra precautions while riding their bike. Motorcycle riders should feel very in the fact that if they are ejected from their bike, they will have this extra piece of security to ensure their survival, this will also help to reduce the amount of injuries that one could possibly endure. The majority of accidents on a motorcycle happen when the bike slams into an object. Usually the object will be an item such as a vehicle, a guard rail, or even a building
. The key to the safety air vest is to remember to inflate your vest when the accident occurs, you will only have a matter of seconds to do this correctly. Your head should be protected by your helmet if you should fall off the bike head first; therefore the air bag vest will only protect your body because hopefully you will take the extra measure and protect your head by wearing a helmet to protect your head. Should you have the misfortune of having an accident while on your motorcycle, remembering to inflate the vest will give you extra pre-caution when it comes to protecting your vital organs, this will play a major part in your survival of the accident. A thick leather jacket worn under your airbag vests will give your skin extra protection. While wearing the airbag vest you will need to be sure to have a motorcycle jacket worn underneath that fits securely. Depending on the manufacturer of your vest, there are certain motorcycle jackets that work best with the different types of air bag vests.
You will not have to fear making the mistake of accidentally inflating the vest unintentionally, you would need to pull pretty hard on the strap to make it inflate the airbag vest, Never the less, extreme caution should be taken while on your motorcycle and this vest will be extra padding to protect you.

Although airbags in the motorcycle world aren't necessarily a new safety concept, motorcycle safety has become an ever-growing industry that has begun to experiment with meshing safety with style. While a few models of motorcycle, such as the Honda Goldwing, include car-style airbags, it's much more common for motorcycle airbags to come in the form of a jacket the rider wears which attaches to the bike using a rip cord. The jackets are composed of a CO2 cylinder and an air bladder. Should the rider become ejected from the motorcycle, the CO2 cylinder will go off and fill up the air bladder inside of the jacket. There is still a fair amount of skepticism surrounding whether or not a motorcycle airbag is worth it, since the rider has to be fully ejected from the bike before they will start to inflate. Another potential drawback to the jackets is the time the bags take to inflate, as well s the fact that rather than inflating at the moment impact is detected, a motorcycle airbag inflates after the initial impact. This potentially means the rider may be airborne for some time before the airbag fills. A common misconception many people first had was that the airbag might deploy if they forgot to detach it from the bike before dismounting- luckily, it takes a lot more force than that to trigger the CO2 cylinder! Despite the few possible disadvantages, there are many people that now swear by wearing a motorcycle airbag after experiencing instances in which their airbags saved them from serious injury and steep doctor bills. Some of the features include an inflatable flap that protects the rider's tailbone, and a way to lock the head in place. Specifically, they were intended to protect the body's most vulnerable parts such as the spine, chest, and major organs. Now that manufacturers are coming out with stylish, and considerably less bulky, alternatives to the original motorcycle airbag, there's no reason not to take one on a test run!

When you think of an airbag in a jacket, it probably seems strange to you at first thought. These airbag jackets though are no different than having airbags in your car for protection. Motorcyclists out on the open road do not have much between them and the pavement they ride on. Having the cushion of an airbag within a motorcyclists jacket will only insure more safety for motorcycle enthusiasts. These types of jackets are part of the wave in safety for motorcyclists of today and in the future.

Motorcycle airbag jackets are made with an airbag vest within the material cover of the jacket. These jackets are made from a very durable vinyl. Air is housed in several tubes that are within the front and back of the jacket. The design of the airbag jacket protects a motorcyclists neck when they are wearing it because motorcycle airbag jackets are designed to have extra coverage at the top of the jacket when the airbag fills up.

Carbon monoxide within a cylinder is what releases air into these airbag jackets. The outside of the jacket is where the cylinder can be found. New cylinders can be purchased when the one you have runs out of carbon monoxide. These cylinders are set up with a breakaway cable, a device that sets off the carbon monoxide, and a clasp that is provided for safety. The clasp that is provided for safety is attached to the motorcycle. If a motorcyclist has an accident, the safety clasp will trigger the device to release the carbon monoxide and the air in the jacket will deploy.

Motorcycle jackets that have airbags will give motorcyclists and their families more peace of mind. They will now be able to get out on the open road and have some fun with the confidence that they have extra protection on their body other than their helmet.

Motorbike airbag jacket systems is the perfect safety gear for motorbike drivers. Airbags are built into the jacket and, an attachment is connected from the jack to the motor bike. When the rider is falling the attachment is pulled from the motorbike releasing the airbag system automatically. There’s airbags on the neck, torso, waist and tailbone. The airbags are also being used by some police in a number of States. There are the impact jacket, hitair, motoair, and the airetronic airbag jackets and vest available, but they all work the same. The airbags are uniquely designed to help protect the driver from injuries to the neck, spine and torso areas; as they also help protect the driver from the impact of the actual fall. Motorbike airbag jacket are activated once the attachment releases from the motorbike before the fall; it has been tested and proven to inflate within 0.5 seconds.

The airbags on the neck, chest back and waist inflates instantly to to protect the driver; the tailbone airbag unsnaps and swells upon activation. The airbags on the neck and body inflate in about 0.2 seconds upon releasing from the motorbike. Since the full system is fully activated within 0.5 seconds this is enough time to protect the rider before he fells the impact of the fall. Once the fall the air then begins to deflate releasing pressure from the body. Motorbike airbag vest are available as well, and these vest work the same as the jackets do. The neck and backbone and the upper organs as well as the tailbone are the primary target of protection from the airbag jacket; theses are the areas of the body that are injured most often during motorbike accidents. These airbag systems also offer a shock-buffering system which is also activated upon being released from the motorbike. The Hit-Air motorbike airbag jacket is being said to be the most widely used motorcycle riding clothes today.

With more and more people looking to the purchase of motorcycles for a variety of reasons, new technology is being researched each day to make the commute safe for motorcycle riders. One of the most impressive inventions to date under the category of safety is the airbag motorcycle jackets that are now being offered to consumers world wide. An airbag motorcycle jacket is a full sleeved jacket that is attached by a clip to a point on the motorcycle. If a rider is thrown from their bike, the clip will detach and activate an inner bladder that instantly inflates before the rider impacts pavement or anything that may pose potential danger when thrown from the motorcycle.
Do Airbag Motorcycle Jackets Work
There has been a lot of skepticism over the last couple of years on whether or not these types of safety devices will work. However, continuous research and revision of the different systems have shown that airbag motorcycle jackets can significantly decrease the risk of injury when properly used and worn. The clip must have a certain amount of pull per square inch exerted on it to inflate; therefore, one cannot activate the airbag inside the jacket by simply forgetting to release the clip when dismounting to park the bike.
What are the Features of the Jacket
The jacket incorporates many different safety features to protect the main points of the body and the spinal cord. At the neck position, the jackets inflate to reduce the snapping motion and cushion the impact that one may suffer when being thrown from their motorcycle. Along with the neck support, the airbag motorcycle jacket features an inflation zone in the lumbar area as well. The inflation zone in the lumbar area is also designed to reduce the snapping motion when one rolls and tumbles after being in high speed accidents. This area helps to hold the vertebrae in place, which does not allow the whipping motion would would normally experience while rolling and tumbling. Another inflation zone protecting the ribs and sternum inflates as well. In whole, imagine that you have three inner tubes that surround the body's core areas. One tube protects your neck, one tube protects your sternum, ribs, and middle back, and one tube protects your lower back and pelvic regions. This type of protection can greatly reduce many of the injuries associated with motorcycle accidents and falls.

Back when people first started to ride motorcycles, there was no such thing as a motorcycle airbag suit. There is now a way to protect yourself other than using a helmet. There are other parts of your body that if injured in a motorcycle crash can harm you. These other parts of your body should be protected as much as your head.

Let's face the facts, most people think of bikers who ride motorcycles as those wearing leather and having long beards and looking rough and tough. This is the case in most instances, however there are other types of people who ride motorcycles. For most people who are afraid of riding motorcycles, they are afraid of the injuries that they can sustain from the riding of the motorcycle. With the motorcycle airbag suit, this can eliminate the fears that they face.

The motorcycle airbag suit is made from a number of different materials depending on the manufacturer of the airbag suit. For most companies, they will use a nylon mesh suit which helps to keep you cool while still protecting yourself in the case of an accident. The airbag suit is also available to be used for other sports as well other than just riding a motorcycle.

The motorcycle airbag suit is stylish as well as being comfortable. You will find a number of pockets on the exterior of the suits jacket which allows you to keep your keys and other items inside the pockets when you are not riding on the motorcycle. However, most of the manufacturers do not have zippers or snaps on the pockets and this limits what you are able to put inside of the pockets. You will find another pocket on the chest of the jacket which also does not have a fastener or way to keep the items inside of the jacket.

There will be a carbon dioxide cylinder which will be what is used to inflate the airbag suit. The rider will have to have the motorcycle suit attached to the motorcycle so that when the rider is ejected from the motorcycle, the airbag will inflate which will help to save the rider from being seriously injured. The suit is attached to the bike from a cable that is secured to the bike at a point that can be safely attached. What makes the motorcycle airbag suit ideal is that you can use the suit over and over again by simply replacing the carbon dioxide cartridge.

The motorcycle airbag suit will at first be difficult to attach to the bike when first starting out. Once you get the hang of it however, you will be easily attaching the suit to the motorcycle. Once you have a accident and see what the motorcycle airbag suit can do for you, you will be glad that you made the investment into the purchase of the airbag suit.
